You can’t skip steps.

Even if you achieve spikes in content, or moments of virality, those are not guaranteed to bring you a sustained success and an audience that will genuinely care about what it is that you do and make a purchase.

It’s a long-term game.

It all starts with building strong foundation, a.k.a. systems, that will lead people through various touchpoints of your brand. Through those they will discover your drives, motives, essence, quality, product, and the emotional reasons of why they wish to follow you and be your fan.

There needs to be emotional resonance.

We all make choices based on certain needs and desires that we want to fulfil. So what does your brand represent to people? How can they connect with it? How can you speak to the inner drives that each individual has? Being able to express the essence of your brand clearly, so that potential fans and clients can link to it, will be crucial. You’ve got to show them who you are, so that they can see how they fit within that picture.

Consistency compounds.

The more you continue to speak to your audience and improving the ways in which you shows up, the more your core audience will start to shape. With time it becomes like a domino effect, it create a momentum, where people start to interact with your brand in ways which organically expand your reach, create a sense of credibility, and contribute towards a sustained success.

What are your thoughts on the topic? How do you go about building your community?
