Day 1 - Post series for all the founders, leaders, and creatives, working on building their personal brand: PERSONAL BRAND x WEBSITE ⤵️

Today, we answer the question: is a website important for building a strong personal brand?

A website is the centre of your brand through which you connect and navigate all other aspects of your business. It’s a crucial asset for any brand that wants to build towards a strong impact and lasting brand.

For example:

➡️ directing your social media audience to your site's newsletter (building a stronger bond with the consumer)

➡️ on the website, you can set up stores, links to social sites, podcasts, partners, feature content or important press (it becomes a place where “all paths meet”)

➡️ your website is not powered by the algorithm, all content is accessible and available to anyone willing to search through the site (don’t we all sometimes need a little break from the algorithms?)

➡️ you can design it in ways that best support your needs, featuring the most important things for your brand first (no confusion, straight to the point)

➡️ you can adapt it to your audience’s needs and behaviours (are they young creatives? maybe fellow leaders and entrepreneurs? computer geeks? each audience requires a different approach, and the website is the best place to cater to those desires)

➡️ you need to quickly introduce yourself and build credibility via email - no problem, you send over your website link and it should do the work for you (if it’s built strategically to support the sense of credibility and authority within your industry or niche)

➡️ your website, your rules (social media sites change, the way content works is changing, but your website can be designed and created in a way that suits your own needs, and you are not dependent or affected by any other third-party rules or factors)

➡️ it’s a SUPER VALUABLE ASSET, because it can bring in more income, it can help you build a bigger and stronger community, and it’s your “first point of contact” where people can gain insight into you/your work beyond just social media content.

These are just a few key points of why the website is such a valuable asset if it’s structured properly and positioned within your brand system with intention.

It can lead to increased opportunities across a variety of different territories (partnerships, income, credibility, audience growth, opportunity invitations,…).

So what would you say, is the website important for building a strong personal brand?

Is your website optimised to its full capacity?

Are you putting time, effort, and care into making it one of your most powerful assets?
