To be effective at your work, you’ve got to build foundation first. Well, you don’t have to, but it’s going to be extremely helpful down the line.

Here are the five steps that will help you build unshakable foundation for effective business growth upon which you can then amplify and expand your work.

1- DISCOVERY: take time to do a deep dive into your processes. How does your business or brand function? What do you do and how do you do things? What’s the essence of it? What’s the drive, what are your values? Why should people follow you? Where is the project headed? What in your opinion works and what doesn’t? Examine your work holistically.

2 - DNA: with gathered insights you can now establish the DNA of your brand or project. What are the key pillars that guide your actions? How do you show up? What’s the best way to communicate and why? What’s at the core of your business? Outline the key elements that will drive forward every action and decision and help infuse it with your brand’s essence.

3 -  STRUCTURE: now that you have an overall understanding of your brand, it’s time to set the key objectives. What is it that needs your attention? What things need to be optimised for better results? Where is your f focus first? What areas of your business need re-adjustments? Be realistic and focus on this that matter the most and that will build the best foundation for future scaling of you project.

4 - STRATEGY: time to put the strategically creative mind in action. Now that you’ve established the objective you can start creating firm strategies, workflows, and specific steps that will help propel your business forward. Be practical, be creative, allow yourself time to brainstorm ideas and go out of the box. Remember, great strategy is not done in an hour. Take time build something that nurtures impact.

5 - ACTION: game on! The most important final step is to take action, to put things in motion, and to start executing on your plans. This will solidify your previous work and make it tangible. But remember that the best way to go about any project is to keep a certain level of flexibility. Yes, make bulletproof structure and strategy, but don’t forget to be open to changes, and be able to swiftly adapt and rearrange if necessary.

Take this and apply it with your next project! Strategy is strength!
