Does building a personal brand help with having more leverage? For founders, leaders, and creatives. How can I build an authoritative personal brand?

Day 8 - Post series for all the founders, leaders, and creatives, working on building their personal brand: PERSONAL BRAND x LEVERAGE ⤵️ 

The question I'm answering today is: does building a personal brand really help with having more leverage?

If you want more leverage as an individual, then building a personal brand will definitely contribute to that. You will create a much-needed foundation to establish credibility, reputation, and consequently, build more influence and ability to attract more opportunities.

🔵 But what does it really mean to have leverage as a consequence of a personal brand? 

➡️ perception of authority (increases trust in first-time interactions and continually attracts audiences that assign value to your brand)

➡️ consistent income of opportunities (you no longer need to reach out and seek opportunities for expansion, they will find you)

➡️ more attention (leading to lower marketing costs due to heightened audience trust, faster idea testing and distribution)

➡️ economic advantage (attracting high-value partnerships, charging premium-rates, as well as giving you a more favourable negotiating position)

➡️ access to people and opportunities (if you are “the name”, it can get you into many rooms and open up many different partnerships)

These are just the tip of the iceberg. As you can imagine, there is a vast array of other benefits that a strong personal brand brings, all hidden within the system of a brand. 

But like any complex system, some smaller elements might have a huge impact on overall brand strength, and some seemingly big moves and elements might only result in a small effect. 

However, all are important as they contribute to the brand as a whole, and make it a one unified entity which, if built correctly, can move mountains.
